Tyler Holman, a student who just graduated from Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, won a brand new car this weekend because of her good grades. Tyler was so shocked, unable to say much from the stage. She will be attending Cumberland University in the fall! Her mom was with her and she was also surprised and thankful for this gift to their family. The annual contest, hosted by Newton Nissan, is open to all students enrolled in a middle Tennessee high school. This is the 4th year the giveaway has been held at Newton Nissan South.

Ready to drive off!

The grand prize was a 2019 Nissan Versa, valued at $15,330. “Newton Nissan pays for both the car and sales taxes, so Tyler doesn’t have to pay anything for her new car,” says Mike Castro, Newton Nissan South’s General Manager and Operator. Students enter the contest by bringing in their report card from the most recent school year. Students increase their chances of winning by making good grades, since they receive one entry per “A” on their report card.
